The Center for Clinical Education

Caring for patients is a commitment and responsibility shared among all members of Martha Jefferson's multi-disciplinary teams.  A compelling need for advanced education and training exists among clinical professionals within their respective specialties, i.e. respiratory, physical and occupational therapy, medical technicians in the laboratory, pharmacy, operating room, imaging, etc.

Philanthropic support of education and training for clinical staff helps advance excellence across the healthcare continuum at Sentara Martha Jefferson as it has for nurses through the Haden Nursing Institute through support of:

• Scholarships
• Specialty Certifications/Re-Certifications
• Professional confernece attendance

• $250,000 in annual program support
• $2 million endowment
