Our Advancement Philosophy

The Martha Jefferson Hospital Foundation supports the advancement of the vision for Martha Jefferson Hospital—

"To set the standard for clinical quality and personal healthcare."

This will be accomplished through encouraging philanthropic support from our community to provide programs, services and capital investments that provide for better quality care for our patients and community and a differentiated personal healthcare experience.

Annually, the Foundation, in concert with the Hospital and driven by its Strategic Plan, outlines specific areas for support today that will serve current needs and help grow the Hospital's continuum of capabilities for tomorrow. These included actions in the following areas:

• Increasing Nursing capabilities and a commitment to provide a nursing service second to none
• Developing an integrated continuum of Heart and Vascular care
• Enhancing our model community Cancer Care service
• Continuing Martha Jefferson's commitment to excellence in Women's Health
• Continuing Martha Jefferson's commitment to world-class technology
• New program initiatives, for example Palliative Care, Spine Center, Reproductive Medicine and the like

We ask that prospective donors and friends consider what Martha Jefferson provides for our community and to support its vision for caring, quality community healthcare with the best gift that they can make today.  We ask that they also consider within that vision what future commitments they can endorse and support.
