"In The Pink" Tennis Tournament: A Smashing Success!

Mark your calendars for 2012 - the 10th Annual In The Pink
Tennis Tournament will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012

This event is organized by The Women's Committee of Martha Jefferson Hospital and is open to the
public at all levels of tennis ability. The tournament runs concurrently at eight tennis venues throughout
Albemarle County (ACAC, Boar's Head Sports Club, Fairview Swim & Tennis, Farmington Country Club,
Forest Lakes Swim & Tennis, Glenmore Country Club, Keswick Club and St. Anne's-Belfield). A recent
addition to the tournament is "Teens in Pink" playing at St. Anne's-Belfield (Boys and Girls 13-18).

Proceeds from the Tournament are designated for Marianne's Room at Martha Jefferson Hospital.
Marianne's Room was established in 2002 in memory of Marianne Zirkle who succumbed to breast
cancer in 1998. Marianne Zirkle was a Women's Committee member, active member of our community,
and an avid tennis player. Generous financial support from our sponsors and participants also provides
the resources to direct funds toward Palliative Care at Martha Jeffesron Hospital.
