"In the Pink" Tennis Tournament

Mark Your Calendars for 2008 - Saturday, October 4th

The Sixth Annual "In the Pink" Tennis Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 4th.  This event is organized by The Women's Committee of Martha Jefferson Hospital and is open to the public.

The tournament will run concurrently at six tennis venues throughout Albemarle County (Farmington, Boar's Head, Glenmore, Keswick, ACAC, and Forest Lakes).  A new addition to the tournament will be "Men in Pink" playing at ACAC.  The proceeds form the tournament will benefit Marianne's Room at Martha Jefferson Hospital.  We hope to surpass last year's proceeds to further expand the services offered by Marianne's Room.


Proceeds from 2007 Tournament met the annual needs for the room, purchased additional cancer care hats and wigs, and provided funds for educational outreach.  Last but not least, seed money for a Marianne's Room in the new hospital complex was established.
